I’ve been writing music for over 25 years. Hundreds of songs. Countless melodies, chord progressions, and ideas that have lived only on my hard drive or scribbled in notebooks. For most of my life, I convinced myself that creating was enough—that sharing didn’t matter.
But it does matter. These songs deserve to exist beyond my bedroom. So here we are. On 20th March 2026, I’m releasing my debut single: Stringshire.
What is Stringshire?
Stringshire is an instrumental track that blends orchestral strings and piano with pulsing house rhythms.
The name comes from the borders of Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Yorkshire—the three shires that converge at the NG20 postcode where I live. It’s a sonic postcard from that place, a reflection of boundaries meeting and something new emerging from the intersection.
It’s not what you’d expect from a debut single. There are no vocals. No radio-friendly three-minute structure. It’s just sound—raw, honest, and unapologetically itself.
Why now?
I’m 41. I’ve been writing since I was a teenager. I’ve survived an abusive childhood, a suicide attempt at 14, and decades of severe social anxiety that made a traditional music career impossible. Music wasn’t just an escape—it literally saved my life.
For years, I didn’t know how to share my work without exposing myself in ways I couldn’t handle. But I’ve finally built something that works for me: NG20 is a project where I can stay behind the scenes, produce, write, and collaborate remotely with vocalists who bring the songs to life.
Stringshire is the beginning. It’s me stepping out of the shadows—not into the spotlight, but into the world. It’s proof that you can create on your own terms, that anonymity doesn’t mean invisibility, and that it’s never too late to share what you’ve been building in private.
What’s next?
This is just the first release. I have hundreds of songs ready to go—some instrumental, some waiting for the right vocalist. I’m actively looking for artists who want to collaborate, whether that’s as a featured vocalist on an NG20 track or as someone who wants to take one of my fully written songs and make it their own.

If you’re reading this, thank you. For giving this a chance. For being curious about an anonymous producer releasing an instrumental debut. For being part of the beginning of something I’ve been building for 25 years.
